Aug 2012Dr. Gail Marasse has been working, researching and lecturing in the area of Nutrition, Blood Chemistry, Hormone Balancing, Chiropractic and Veterinary Chiropractic and Nutrition for over 20 years. She received her Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition at Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA.

After working in the health care system for many years, Dr. Gail decided to focus on preventive care and advanced clinical nutrition. Dr. Gail enrolled in the Master’s Program at Cal State Long Beach and studied Nutritional Science, and later enrolled in the Master’s / PhD Nutrition Program at American Holistic College of Nutrition. After years of lecturing and researching, she studied and became a doctor of Chiropractic. While enrolled, she taught future doctors how to incorporate nutritional consulting into their practices.

“My interest started in Nutritional Science and Dietetics. I thought that I wanted to be a Dietician so I went to school and received a Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition at Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA in 1984. After working in hospitals for years, I decided that I was on the wrong end of the healthcare system! How could I help after they were already sick! Well, you actually CAN help, but NOT in the hospital environment. Hospitals are not set up for very in-depth nutritional care.

So I enrolled in the Masters Program at Cal State Long Beach and studied Nutritional Science. I wrote a thesis on “Urinary and Blood Values of Vitamin C”. I still felt after this, that I really didn’t have enough education under my belt to REALLY help someone. I decided to enroll in a Holistic College and did a Masters/PhD program with them. After working in the field for several years (mostly with Chiropractors), I decided that I would really like to get my hands on people to do more healing, so I enrolled in Chiropractic College in 1987. I graduated Suma Cum Laude at Life West Chiropractic College in 1992. My interest in the anti-aging and rejuvenation field led me to enroll into Aesthetician school where I learned many spa services including body wraps, skin therapies, anti-cellulite programs and more!

As my practice was growing, I noticed that what was needed the most was women needing help with weight loss, hormone balancing, insomnia, stress, depression, anxiety, PMS, hot flashes, and other metabolic problems. As I evaluated their blood chemistries and other tests, I noticed that many problems with thyroid, adrenals, ovaries, pituitary and other glands were being missed. So I began more intensive training and researching in this area and is my main emphasis today.

Since then, I have studied many alternative healing methods including: Applied Kinesiology, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique, Sacral Occipital Technique, Herbs, Acupressure, Veterinary Chiropractic and Nutrition, Infant, Child and Maternal Chiropractic Nutrition, Live Blood Cell Analysis, Reflexology, Activator Chiropractic Technique.

In my nutritional consulting, I can handle just about any health problem. I specialize in hormone balancing for women. I am also an Aesthetician and love working with the skin and anti-aging nutrition. Any glandular problems, alternatives for psychotropic drugs, and getting people off prescriptive drugs. Many conditions can be helped by a natural remedy and drugs and surgery should be saved for the last resort.

I see miracles and cures every day now for 27 years and I know this simple truth: There is a disease or condition and there is a CAUSE for that condition. The CAUSE is NOT that you are deficient in a particular drug! It is always best to look at how we can fix the cause NATURALLY before just trying to cover up the SYMPTOMS with a drug. Because that drug now has something IT is causing and a whole new array of symptoms will emerge with no cure of the underlying problem!!”    Dr.Gail Marasse
